Via Shakespeare's Sister, Stephen Colbert did a fabulous satirical performance at the White House Press Corps Dinner with President Bush on the weekend (I've never seen him perform, but apparently his schtick is lampooning a KoolAid drinking BushCo loyalist to the fanatic hilt - and the White House invited him to perform!)."When the president decides something on Monday, he still believes it on Wednesday - no matter what happened Tuesday."You wouldn't know how brilliant his performance was from the mainstream USA press coverage though, maybe because he skewered the Beltway columnists as well:
"You should spend more time with your families, write that novel you've always wanted to write. You know, the one about the fearless reporter who stands up to the administration. You know--fiction."Colbert at Crooks and Liars
